Vice president's wife to visit Utah Guard base

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The vice president's wife will be paying a visit to Utah National Guard families this week.
Jill Biden is planning to stop by the Utah Air National Guard Base in Salt Lake City for about an hour Tuesday evening.
Biden is promoting the national Joining Forces initiative, which raises awareness about the unique needs of service members and their families.
She's traveled to bases across the country to visit members of the military as part of the initiative.
Tuesday's event is closed to the public.
