SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Gas prices in Utah continue to rise. AAA Utah says the average price of a gallon of gas in Utah has increased 8 cents in the past month, to $3.13.

The average price of gas in Utah is the fourth highest in the country. Alaska, Hawaii and California have prices higher than Utah.

Only nine states have average prices more than $3 a gallon.

The current national average price for regular, self-serve gasoline is $2.90. The lowest price of gas is in Missouri, at $2.72.
