SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) - According to Utah's chief economist, the state’s money problems are getting worse.
The economist says next year's state revenues could be higher than expected but will still fall short by as much as 150 million dollars. That could increase next year's projected overall budget deficit to 850 million dollars.
The economist says Utah will have a slow economic recovery because the state lags behind the national average in retail sales, personal income and other key economic indicators. (r)
