SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 NEWS)- To celebrate Utah’s history several cities across the state will hold Pioneer Day events. You can find a list of cities and events below.
IMPORTANT: Some fireworks displays may be delayed or canceled due to previous fire dangers. Please refer back to this story or check with local community websites for updates on firework displays. SALT LAKE CITY:
The Days of ‘ 47 parade will begin on at 9 AM. The route will being at South Temple and State Street and will conclude Liberty Park at 600 east in Salt Lake City. The parade will be held on Tuesday, July 24th.
The Native American Celebration in the Park will hold events on Tuesday, July 24th at Liberty Park. Food, art and craft booths will open at 7 AM and will close right before the fireworks show around 10 PM.
Liberty Park will hold a firework display to celebrate Pioneers Day on Tuesday, July 24th. The show will begin around 10 PM.
The Salt Lake City Bees will also be celebrating our pioneer heritage with a fireworks display following their game versus the Sacramento River Cats. The game starts at 7:05 PM at the Spring Mobile Ballpark in Salt Lake City. BOUNTIFUL:
Bountiful city will hold its 62nd annual Handcart Days Grand Parade at 6 PM. The parade will being at 1500 south Main Street and will conclude on 400 north. The parade will be held on Friday, July 20th. OGDEN:
Ogden Pioneer Days will conclude with a parade and a fireworks show on the 24th. The parade will begin at 9 AM on Washington Blvd 35th down to 20th street.
The celebrations continue to with a fireworks show at the Ogden Pioneer Stadium located at, 668 17th Street, Ogden, Utah. The fireworks show will begin will begin right after the rodeo that concludes at 8:30.TREMONTON:
Tremonton will hold a fireworks show to end their Pioneer Day celebrations at 10 PM. The event will be held at the Jeanie Stevens Park on Saturday, July 21st. SPANISH FORK:
To celebrate Pioneer Days, Spanish Fork will continue with their Fiesta Days celebrations. They will hold a grade parade at 9 AM. The parade will go down Center Street/ Main Street. This event will be held on Tuesday, July 24.
Fiesta Day celebrations will continue with a firework display that will begin approximately at 10:15 PM. It will be held at Sports Park. This event will also be held on the 24th. MAPLETON:
To celebrate Utah’s pioneer heritage, Mapleton city will hold several event throughout the day that will end in a fireworks display. The fireworks show will begin at dusk at the Maple City Park, located at 35 east Maple Street. This event will be held on Tuesday, July 24th.FAIRVIEW:
Fairview city has scheduled events to celebrate Pioneers Day that will take place all day. At 11 AM they will hold their Pioneer Day Parade. The route will run down State Street and will begin at the Far West Bank.
At 7 PM Fairview city will hold its 28th annual demolition derby followed by a fire works show.LOGAN:
Logan city will be holding celebrations all day long. The parade will begin at 10 AM. The route starts on 1600 east 1900 north and will end at Mountain View Park.
Their fireworks display will begin at 10 PM at Elk Ridge Park, located at 1060 east 2500 north. LAYTON:
Layton city will be celebrating Pioneer Day with a “Taste of the Town” event. They have lined up 24 restaurants within the city. Tickets can be purchased at the Layton Hills Mall for $6.CEDAR CITY:
Due to dry conditions and firework restrictions, Cedar City will not holding a fireworks display this year, but they will continue to celebrate Pioneer day with their Cedar City parade. The parade will begin at 10 AM. It will go down Main Street, starting at 400 south and will end at Main Street Park at 200 north. This event will be held on Tuesday, July 24th.
