TOOELE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Utah Highway Patrol says that a man injured in an accident late Friday night has passed away.
UHP tells ABC 4 News that the driver of a 1999 Saturn, traveling with two passengers around 10 p.m. Friday evening suffered a diabetic problem causing the rollover.
Trenten W. Crawford, 18 of Tooele was heading north on State Road 36 near milepost 35 between Vernon and Stockton. According to troopers on scene, Crawford began experiencing a diabetic problem and reached down, possibly for a drink or snack and drifted off the right side of the road.
Crawford then overcorrected to the left, causing the vehicle to rotate counter clockwise, slide across lanes and off the west side of SR 36 and before rolling several times.
Crawford, and a female passenger where not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. The female passenger, identified as Cassandra Quaid, 18 of Pine Canyon was transported by medical helicopter in serious condition.
A second passenger, Darrin P, Yadon, 20 of Tooele was not ejected and received minor injuries. He was transported by ground ambulance in good condition.
