SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Air and ground crews continued to search for a plane that went missing after its pilot refueled in Fillmore.

Crews from the Civil Air Patrol's Utah Wing continued their search the plane that departed from Bakersfield, California on Sunday.

There may have been been a possible sighting of the aircraft in the Mount Pleasant area, but those reports had yet to be confirmed.

Authorities say the pilot, 37-year-old Matthew Ahrens, along with his passengers, 34-year-old Trista Meyer and her 9-year-old daughter Shyann Lenz were headed back to Gillete, Wyoming after spending the Thanksgiving holiday in California.

The aircraft stopped in Fillmore to refuel, and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Six airplanes from Utah were in the air as well as airplanes from Wyoming and Colorado during the search.
