SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – The celebration for Real Salt Lake’s MLS Cup victory continued Tuesday.
The players enjoyed lunch at the Governor’s Mansion with Governor Herbert, his wife, and other city leaders.
From there, they headed to the Capitol. They were greeted by the Brighton High School Band and a few hundred fans. On the south steps at the Capitol, Governor Herbert declared November 24th as Real Salt Lake Day.
Real players then loaded into SUV’s and – with a motorcade – headed down State Street to their home stadium in Sandy.
There, fans got to keep the celebration going with even more speeches from owners, coaches, players and more.
