THis is My Dad- What Folks don't know- is the there is a major cover-up concerning this case. Daniel Lee Brown was actually the victim of extreme police brutality. He was traveling to California with his Amazon Red Head parrot "Red Bart in a cage in the passenger side seat. On the night in question, a wild fire had impaired many drivers view on the interstate 15 road. Daniel pulled his mini-van over to the shoulder as best he could for a 66 year old man- and proceeded to take his parrot out of the van in case his van got hit as a huge bus was barreling towards the vehicle. A collision was avoided. As Daniel Brown struggled to see through the smoky haze a police car hit him- (side scraping him- and knocking him into a ditch on the side of the highway. Daniel Brown struggled to get up with the aid of a piece of scrap metal he found lying nearby, which he used as cane. His body was injured. As he came hobbling up out of the ditch, the police car in question has stopped to watch. Of course, Daniel Brown was angry. The police car had nearly killed him! SO in his fit of anger he raised the metal scrap stick at the police car. The officers in question got out of the car and tazered him. Then, they proceeded to drag him back in to the ditch, where no on could see as one officer held the 66 year old injured man down, the other officer kicked him in the head, causing a major fracture. The officer then mashed Daniel Brown's left hand down with his boot, breaking all of Daniel's fingers. THis is the TRUTH. I am his son. I had to pick my Father up from the Utah correctional institute where he was neglected with these serious life threatening issues for 4 weeks! The cab driver who picked us up and drove us back into St. George, UT mentioned he was always being asked to pick up inmates from the Utah correctional complex and drive them to the County border and dump them off. So there you have- Police Brutality Covered up as is typical for Utah.
