SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Sir Paul McCartney is on his way to
Utah, and a mega fan, like Paul Murphy can’t wait.
“He’s a really great singer/songwriter. He’s changed the world with his music,” says Murphy.
Murphy has filled his downtown office with everything Beatles. He plans to be one of 22-thousand fans packing into the Rio Tinto Stadium this July to see the ex-Beatle in action.
“He really puts on an amazing show. His voice is still good,” says Murphy
Bill Manning is the president of Rio Tinto stadium. He says he spent five months wooing McCartney to Utah to play a concert where ticket prices will range between 50 and 250-dollars a seat.
“It’s a pretty big score for us. It doesn’t get much bigger than that,” says Manning.
And Murphy can’t wait to see the man who helped create Beatlemania in the 60s with hit after hit.
“They are the best.. They pretty much invented rock and roll,”says Murphy.
