The mentality of hazing certainly has no place in educational activities. Thinking that I must suffer and be humiliated in order to be accepted goes against the message of tolerance that our society screams. In Arizona, a VERY GOOD band teacher lost her job because of similar "traditions" that predated her employment; a college drum major died last year in a hazing incident. Justify for me the existence of this type of celebration or activity . . . how could such abuse be condoned by ANY person of authority or responsibility? We know better. Hazing is bullying. Look up the legal definitions. Fire the cheer coach? Can't -- she's tied to athletics.

No hazing what so ever should ever be allowed ! There is enough violence in this world with out this happening during high school years! This kind of violence can snowball and cause some other kind of horrifying act.
