DRAPER, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison, Utah is now housing nearly 200 new inmates after a transfer from the Utah State Prison on Sunday.
The 186 maximum-security inmates were taken to the Gunnison prison's new 192-bed Hickory unit to allow maintenance work at the State prison.
The Draper facility will get some new locks, an updated plumbing and electrical system, as well as a cleaning and a fresh coat of paint.
Both prisons were locked down during the operation.
