SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - As the London Olympics get underway, Mitt Romney remains rather unpopular in England.

Romney made comments which were perceived overseas as being critical of the 2012 Summer Games.

On Twitter, the British are calling Mitt Romney many things.

Here are some of the ones we can actually tell you about.

The first unfortunate nickname Mitt Romney has acquired in England is - "Mitt the twit."

There are also snarky tweets like: Romney not being qualified to be a tourist, about retroactively trying to cancel his London visit and about the Monkees being a better band than the Beatles.

One of the other things Romney is being called is the "American Borat."

All over Twitter, he's being portrayed as the classic, bumbling American visitor.

As one tweet notes, Mitt Romney is the first to be thrown out of these Olympics
for “doping.”

Or there was this British newspaper that wrote,

"Mitt Romney is perhaps the only politician who could start a trip that was
supposed to be a charm offensive by being utterly devoid of charm and mildly
offensive."

In addition to a whole host of anti-Romney pictures and comments, the British are also tea-ing off against him by comparing him to another American politician.

Some say Romney now reminds them of Sarah Palin.

With any luck at all he won't be America's cup of tea come November.
