SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Finally, there's a new, important issue in the 2012 presidential campaign.
Beer.
In fact, you will only hear one of the two presidential candidates say the following to a crowd,
"Hey, everyone who is over 21, ya’ gotta buy a beer."
This comment was made recently by none other than President Barack Obama.
Welcome to the politics of beer.
Time Magazine, the Washington Post and others are now tapping into the president's fondness for cold ones with in-depth reports
You see, beer, according to some political strategists, appeals to America’s middle class.
So, the president is often seen sipping.
This reportedly makes his candidacy go down more smoothly with these key voters.
Now, compare that to Mitt Romney.
Romney is a Mormon and obviously does not drink.
So, while the Republican candidate is seen eating ice cream, the president makes it a point to have a pint.
Now, as you might imagine, a new chant has even started when Beer-ack Obama appears.
Instead of “four more years,” the crowd now yells "four more beers."
