BOULDER MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - County and federal drug agents recently seized a marijuana farm on the north slope of Boulder Mountain in Wayne County.

Several county agencies, including Wayne, Garfield, Sevier, San Juan and Millard counties were involved in the operation, along with a Utah DPS helicopter. Federal forest service and DEA agents were also involved.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that they received a tip through a neighborhood watch program about an illegal marijuana growing operation on the north slope of Boulder Mountain.

Police say approximately 20,000 mature marijuana plants were taken down, hauled out by helicopter and destroyed.

One male suspect was taken into custody and transported to Sevier County Jail.

Approximately 90 law enforcement officers and volunteers were involved in the search, seizure and disposal of the grow.
