CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) - A highway has reopened after a massive landslide closed the road last week.
State Route 14 reopened Monday after crews worked to clear the road.
Last week's landslide had blocked close to 700 feet of the two-lane highway eight miles east of Cedar City.
Officials originally said it would take up to two weeks to reopen the road. But Utah Department of Transportation spokesman Kevin Kitchen says maintenance crews shifted their schedule to clear the road, a process that included blasting six or seven large boulders so they could be moved.
