HYRUM, Utah (AP) - A group of Hyrum high school students is challenging classmates to clean up their language.

The Herald Journal of Logan reports that Mountain Crest High students Brandon Bendall, Gage Bleazard and Kira Collings are
trying to organize a No Cussing Club.

The Cache County School Board of Education is expected to take action on their request at a meeting Thursday.

The three 16-year-old students say it's not uncommon to hear several different swear words in one conversation in hallways.

They say club members would be challenged not to swear for certain periods of time and not to tell dirty jokes.

Mountain Crest Principal Bob Henke says similar anti-swearing clubs have been created across the country after one was started in California in 2009.
