SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Two funnel clouds were spotted over southeastern Utah late Wednesday afternoon. The first was spotted by a trained National Weather Service weather spotter approximately 25 to 30 miles northwest of Bluff, UT from 4:11 PM to 4:16 PM Wednesday.
The second funnel cloud was spotted by a a fire fighter at 5:20 PM Wednesday afternoon over Cedar Mesa southeast of the town of La Sal, UT. Neither of these funnel clouds reached the ground and posed no threat to the public.
Thunderstorms generating these funnel clouds will continue for the far southeastern portion of Utah through Thursday evening but should be limited to the mountains and higher terrain.
