Freebie number one? With Pioneer Day comes a reason to celebrate! Salt Lake County is celebrating “Garden Gift Day” on July 24 with free admission to several of Salt Lake’s hot spots. Among them, Red Butte Garden from 9-9 and Tracy Aviary from 10-6.
Next up? How ‘bout a does of Salt Lake history? The Utah Heritage Foundation gives free public tours to some of Utah’s most historic landmarks at no cost to you. Tour stops include the Governor’s Mansion and Meditation Chapel in Memory Grove.
Did we say FREE TUITION? Yep! Throughout the summer, the Davis Applied Technology College or DATC, offers a free summer youth program. Director Allen Turner says, “Our summer youth program is for youth, ages 14-18, to come and experience some of the wonderful youth programs they can get training in while in high school, here at the college.” Students can attend a different class every two weeks. Classes include Robotics/Animation, Aerospace Materials, Culinary Arts, Advancced Engineering/Design.

As for this week’s mystery freebie, the Intermountain Syracuse Clinic is hosting a Family Fun Health and Safety Fair tomorrow Saturday, July 18 from 10am to 4pm at 745 South 200 West in Syracuse.
