EUREKA, Utah (AP) - The state Division of Water Quality has taken more samples from Eureka's water system after a test last week revealed trace amounts of E. coli.

The town of fewer than 1,000 residents in Juab County has been under a boil-water order since a test at a resident's home was positive for E. coli. Officials have spent $2,000 to install a temporary chlorinating system.

The E. coli bacteria can sicken those who ingest it, causing headaches, nausea and cramps. In some cases, it can be fatal to those with weakened immune systems.
