Snow will fall throughout Wednesday along the Wasatch Front and in the mountains.  This storm will produce as much, if not more snow than the storm on Christmas Eve.  This storm may be bigger, but it's better for travelers even though the roads will be snowy.  This is an ALL-SNOW event, there won't be any rain or mix prior to snow.  So we won't have the real ice and slick conditions that happen with storms that start out warm and turn cold.  Snow will continue into Thursday.  Accumulations along the Wasatch Front will range 4-8", with up to 12" along the Benches.  The I-15 corridor will pick up between 3-9" from the Idaho border down to Cedar City.  Even St. George could see a little wet snow mixed in with light rain at times.  The mountains, especially ski country, will see between 20-32".  An AVALANCHE WARNING is up for the Central Wasatch and the Book Cliffs.  All of this recent snow is unstable.
After this storm, the weather will quiet down for the rest of 2012.  There will be a few mountain snow showers on Sunday, but nothing like these past two storms.  Inversions and fog could become a problem for the valleys starting wtih the new year.

Have a great day, enjoy the snow, be safe...

Curtis
