PRICE, Utah (AP) - A wildfire burning in central Utah has forced the closure of another national forest road and trail.

The Lake Fork fire has burned just over two square miles since it began July 2.

The fire is about eight miles north of Indianola and two miles southeast of Birdseye.

Last month, officials with the Manti-La Sal National Forest closed the Ives Canyon Trail and Ives Canyon Road in Utah County.

On Tuesday, forest officials also closed Dry Creek Road and the two Dry Creek trails.

The U.S. Forest Service is allowing the fire to burn to benefit the local ecosystem. Managers are monitoring the blaze and will begin fighting it if it threatens people or property.
