SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - Five years ago Raja Bell and Deron Williams almost became teammates in Utah. But in the summer of 2005 Bell made his way to Phoenix while the Jazz picked up Williams in the NBA draft. Now that Bell's back in the Beehive state, they'll have the chance to play together and that's just one of the many reasons Bell's a happy camper.
"I've had to guard him at times and it's not fun," Raja Bell said. "He's got this uncanny ability, that most great point guards do, of being able to take over a game when it needs to be taken over offensively. I think he's great. I think he's a big, solid point guard. You know, I'm really excited about being able to spot up somewhere or come off some of those pin downs and get some shots up."
Since leaving the Jazz back in 2005, life has been pretty busy off the floor for Raja and his wife Cindy.
"Cindy and I had a great time as a couple the last time we were here but there's four of us now," Bell added. "I think that's even better for our family because it's such a great place for kids and everybody is so family oriented out here. I think Cindy will have a great time taking them into the mountains and teaching them how to ski. I won't, I won't," Bell said with a smile.
