Jordan, why don't you share with us your expertise and how you gained your experience with animals. Have you worked with them directly at all? I don't see anything about your credentials besides being an "activist".

@website user - "Regardless of how they are treated...they don't belong there" yes, they belong in a sanctuary not a zoo.

"Regardless of how they are treated" ? So you really don't care that they are being taken care of? If those animals were allowed to "roam free" they would most likely be shot or die off sooner than they would under constant care.

@Ryan - I grew up with Lagoon too, but I've always found the animals to be in poor unnatural conditions. I haven't been back in years until and won't go until they rid their zoo. Tradition doesn't make it right. That logic would lead to no progress ever worldwide. The USDA doesn't agree with you at the animals are taken care of well. They probably know better. Either way you slice it, animals in captivity, that are meant to free-roam aren't in good conditions regardless of their treatment.

Really people..? I am 35 years old and have gone to Lagoon my entire life every single year from st george, now twice a year because frightmares is awesome fun. The animals are a part of the park and have been for many many years. They seem very well taken care of. More care is paid to them in the park then they would ever receive elsewhere. Just some bored tree-huggers trying to complain about something. Nice to know after 50 plus years its such a HUGE problem now. Let the kids and people enjoy what the park has to offer, while you tree-huggers find something more constructive to do ok? Thanks, Ryan from St george.

even if lagoon is following the "regulations," those animals do not look happy. my 3 kids remark how sad the animals look and we now avoid it completely. it's depressing.
