Alleged Ponzi schemer now accused of murder plot

FARMINGTON, UT (ABC 4 News) - A Lindon man on trial for running a Ponzi scheme, is now accused of planning the murder of several witnesses. Federal prosecutors say 47-year old Jeffrey Mowen tried to convince a jailmate to kill four witnesses scheduled to testify against Mowen. Mowen is currently in the Davis County Jail for allegedly running a $10 million scam.
