SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Three more women have stepped forward and accused a conservative Utah political activist of sexually assaulting them.

Gregory Peterson already is facing 25 rape and other charges stemming from allegations by four women, and no charges have been filed in connection with claims by the three other women.

Wasatch County Sheriff Todd Bonner says the allegations by the three women are "pretty similar" to those made by the other four women.

He says two of the women have been interviewed by his detectives, but a third woman had not yet decided whether she wants to cooperate with investigators.

Peterson attorney Jerry Salcido declined to comment on the new allegations, saying he did not have information about them.

Peterson maintains the accusations from the other four women are false.
