SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The woman accused of crashing into an office building to hit her estranged husband has taken a plea deal.
A prosecutor and a defense lawyer tell The Associated Press that Brenda White pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
Salt Lake County prosecutor Alicia Cook says an attempted murder charge was dropped.
White faces up to 15 years in prison on each lesser felony charge at her Jan. 6 sentencing.
Third District Court Judge William Barrett declared a mistrial Aug. 9 in the case over allegations of jury misconduct.
White was accused of hitting her ex-husband twice, breaking his left leg, with her Ford Explorer after crashing through the office building in Salt Lake County in 2006.
