SOUTH SALT LAKE Utah (ABC 4 News) - The landlord worried about his tenant.
Jon Anderson didn't like the idea of men staying at her apartment.
Sunday morning, the 43-year old woman was found dead inside her apartment.
"I have no idea," Anderson told ABC 4 News. "I have no idea who could have done this."
Anderson gave ABC 4 News a rare glimpse of the crime scene. He says her body was found in the bedroom.
"My tenant across the hall, it was 3:30 in the morning and he heard two pops," Anderson says.
The tenant lives across the hall and after his dog kept growling wandered over to her door and walked inside.
"Well she got murdered," Anderson says. "There's no question about it."
Anderson's house is subdivided and three renters live there.
The woman lived in the downstarts apartment. It's a small place with a living room and kitchen area. Anderson says the woman was behind in her rent but then came across some money.
I wondered if that's what she got murdered for," Anderson says.
South Salt Lake police are investigating but haven't released any further details about the case.
Anderson says the victim was a nice tenant but worried about who she was seeing.
"I was told that she'd been having guys stay here," Anderson says. "I came down and talked with her about it maybe ten days ago and she denied it."
