WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - Police say a 73-year-old woman found dead in a fish pond at her West Valley City home likely had a pre-existing medical condition.
Citing a preliminary medical examiner's report, West Valley City Police Capt. Tom McLachlan says Dorothy Gifford likely lost consciousness and fell into the shallow fish pond on Sunday.
McLachlan says Gifford's death is not suspicious. Medical examiners have not yet named an official cause of death and the preliminary report does not say what her pre-existing condition was.
