LAYTON, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A high school resource officer from West Valley faces felony charges after allegedly sending sexual messages to someone he believed was a 15-year old boy.
41-year old Douglas Paulsen, who was assigned to Hunter High School, was picked up at a Layton Mall in a sting operation.
Layton detectives say they answered an on-line sex ad in early September allegedly posted by Paulsen. They say the suspect sent sexually explicit pictures to the detective who was posing as the boy.
Wednesday night, Officer Paulsen was out of jail on bond, and remains on paid leave during the investigation.
