SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Many lines are snaking out of polling locations throughout Utah.
"You just expect to walk in get your card and walk out in a few minutes, this turnout is nice," voter Bobby Sausedo said as she looked at the line flowing outsider her polling location.
Salt Lake County Clerk Sherrie Swensen calls voter turnout excellent.
Nancy Nelson has been the poll manager for the Avenues Sweet Library location for five years. "This has been the largest turnout that we have ever seen at least since I've worked at a poll," said Poll Manager at the Avenues Sweet Library, Nancy Nelson.
Voters at the Avenues location credit excitement to Gov. Mitt Romney's roll in helping to organize and run the 2002 Winter Olympics. "Romney worked so hard here in this community. We have extra feelings for him," said Sausedo.
President Obama supporters are also eager to cast their ballots. They are anxious to give him another four years to finish what he started.
Mindy Robinson did not reveal who she voted for, but did say she's making her trip to the polls a family experience. "I think it's important to let them know of their rights as Americans, they have been talking about the candidates, their friends dads are candidates. They need to know they get this choice," she said.
Salt Lake County mailed out 130,000 ballots to voters and received 85,000 of those ballots back before Election Day. Voters can drop them off at any polling location in their county.
