These people should be wrapped in barbed wire, put in a field to starve!! There is NO EXCUSE EVER for letting these animals suffer so.... ALL OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS ABUSE SHOULD ROT IN HADES........

How can anyone even try to justify anything to do with even the sheer appearance of these poor horses? what is wrong with you? Hard times... give them away or ask for help!!! There is no excuse for how these poor animals suffered or are suffering! I do nor feel sorry for anyone who can try to justify this kind of abuse to any innocent animal. May God have mercy on the souls of all involved in this abuse!

ABC twisted this story so bad, the before pictures were taken when those horses were in my family's possession. My mom and brother kept them well fed. The after pictures were taken when my mom and Rory got some of their horses back from the Barrows family they'd contracted with to care for a bunch of their mares. The Barrows were the ones who didn't feed them! My family rescued as many horses as they could and have since been trying to get them back to full health but it was too late for some of them. I can't believe how they twisted this around. My mom and brother have worked so hard and the horses are their passion, their life. They don't deserve this at all and Utah County Sheriff have been trying to screw us over for years!

You guys know nothing about these people. They a good people that have fallen on hard times. Did you ever think maybe Trudy's husband passed away, and that can put a family in hardship all by its self. Not to mention all of the other tragedys this family has had to endure, that happens not to be any of your damn business. Instead of punishing good people having hard times, why doesn't someone step up and help this family. If someone can't feed their kids, you don't just lock them up. You give them the help that they deserve. I am glad all of you ignorant people posting on here, are perfect and better than the rest of us. Very Christain of you people. What would Jesus do. Why don't we just lock everyone up that hit a tough spot in life. Get real people this is why this country is going to hell.

Why are they not contacting the ASPCA for the Hay Bale-Out program? http://www.aspcapro.org/aspca-equine-fund-hay-bale-out.php

Have they forgotten what state they live in, not to mention our modern technology. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask for help!! Create a Facebook, state your case and see what happens. It makes me sad that people will just come up with excuses and the one's that end up suffering are the animals!!

It is a CRIME against nature, animals, right to life for animals who have NO other way to fend for themselves! They should have given them away rather than starve them to death! What is wrong with people? Why hasn't the Humane Society stepped in & taken the poor animals before they got to the condition they're in? Those people should be put out in a field & told to eat what grass/weeds they can find to survive!

They shouldn't have the animals if they can't afford to feed them. It's ridiculous to let it even get to the point where they begin to starve to death. I hope people in the area can buy the horses or at least donate some hay for the time being.
