OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Church leaders say a funeral service for a 6-year-old girl killed last week in a Connecticut school shooting is set for Saturday in Ogden.
Brian Joy says the body of Emilie Parker will be brought to Utah Tuesday, with a viewing set for Friday at Myers Mortuary. Joy is the bishop of grandfather Randy Parker's congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Saturday service is set for 10 a.m. at the Rock Cliff Stake Center in Ogden. Joy says the main hall of the building holds about 800 people.
Emilie Parker was one of 20 children killed Friday in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Joy says the girl's family was well-established in Utah before moving to Connecticut about a year ago.
