LEHI, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Ruby Kelly gathered with family and friends in Lehi on Wednesday to celebrate her 100th birthday.
Kelly was born in Missouri in 1912, married Louis Kelly in 1934, and has lived in Missouri, California, Kansas and Utah.
Ruby and Louis joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1942 and raised seven children, most of whom live in Utah.
Ruby and her husband served a mission to England in 1978. Louis passed away in 1992.
"Grandma Ruby" has 34 grandchildren, more than 80 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren with another the way.
Ruby is known among her family and friends for her positive spirit, charitable service and industrious work ethic.
Kelly worked in many occupations throughout her many years, most recently as a home health care provider until she was 84 years old, often caring for patients younger than her.
Some of Ruby's family joined patrons of her home at Abiington Manor in Lehi with the traditional cake, candles and the singing of "Happy Birthday" on Wednesday.
Family and friends were invited to an open house in Ruby's honor at Abbington Manor on Saturday between 12:00 and 4:30 p.m.
