Utah County families complain of an Adoption Scam

Kelli and company- whatever happened to legit reporting? If she said she wasn't doing adoptions doesn't that say she stopped when the state asked her to? Rogalskys KNEW just like the rest of us we were doing independant adoptions, Lois wasn't doing it for us! Juliana isn't home because of what Melissa did, she needs to own up to it. She kidnapped the little girl and she still isn't back with HER family! The children have not been deserted, Lois took every step possible to secure a safe environment for them, she loves the children. Sad that you cn go to a news reporter with LIES and she will not find out the thruth. Shame on you Kelli and ABC 4!

Redline - believe me, it's not that easy. After our failed Ghana adoption, we tried looking into adopting out of foster care. We were told that there were very few children available, and that we would only be accepted as foster parents if we were willing to foster without the hope of adopting the foster child(ren). The goal of the foster system in the US is reunification, giving abusive birth parents chance after chance after chance before allowing adoption to become a possibility. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison, I'm afraid.

There are plenty of kids in the United States that are looking to be adopted. You don't need to go all the way to Africa to find kids in need.

This experience has been , unchristlike behavior that came before and after this article. Lois has a stack of paperwork that proves her innocence. She's been legally proven innocent. If any of you accusing her or ABC 4 had known that you would have never taken it this far. I'm not reading any more comments after I post this because it just adds fuel to this idiocy that's been started. It takes away from the spirit of Christmas we are all supposed to be feeling right now. I just wanted to post this so that you know that Bluegirl is not who you said it was. As someone who has been affected by this whole thing, can I just put it out there that maybe we could use all the attention this story is getting and will continue to get to make sure that no money will be sent to Kingsley under any guise? I mean, seriously, there are still websites out there asking for money for Luckyhill, Kings International, etc. I have no way of knowing if those are still gathering anything, but given how difficult it has been to keep the man in jail, this might be an opportunity for everyone involved to stop him from trying his scams in another sphere (e.g. South America, etc.). No names, no stories, no details on children who are here in the US and are already dealing with fallout. There are many facets to this story, and not a single person of the many affected has all of the information.

What an incredibly horrible piece of “investigative” reporting. On one side of the story you have the complainers all decked out in studio makeup and well rehearsed. On the other side you ambush the woman at her home. There appears to be a lot of good people caught up in a bed situation. Why is it that you don’t mention the legal issues that the Rogalski's caused in Ghana when they “kidnapped” that child. And for those who wish to defend that. If what they did was “noble” or appropriate then how come they were not able to bring that child home. Suppose you will say that the child was not an orphan. Then why did they take the child and try to adopt through another avenue. Furthermore, when was the last time you saw an international adoption for $3,500. Speaking of money Kelli, How come you don’t have a cancelled check for the $11,000 grandstanding you were doing. Is it because that money was NEVER given to Lois. Many good people with good intentions have been hurt. Everybody needs to accept responsibility for their own actions, stop blaming others and move on.

SNYO1...#1 You speak of God, but it is clear from your vicious behavior that you do not know of God or Jesus and the lessons that they teach. You behave like a rabid attack dog with no compassion, no logic or reasoning, no sense of responsibility for your own actions, and no heart. #2 You do not deserve to be a parent. If you were a parent, or were serious about being a loving parent, you would not have made those awful comments in a public forum about Lois' daughter. You would understand what kind of pain those comments would bring to a child. You should be ashamed of yourself. #3 If you would like to be angry with someone, be angry with your own wife. The ONLY reason why your daughter is not in America with you is because your wife did not want to wait for the adoption order to be signed and she illegally took Juliana from her grandmother, thus breaking Ghana law. A few days of waiting would have given you a legally signed adoption order and none of this would even be a discussion. #4 Lois does not need to provide court records to you, as you know full well that she won the case because it was against you, and you lost. All court cases are a matter of public record when they are closed so if you'd like to refresh your memory, please do so. Jazzgirl...if someone trespassed onto your property, stuck a microphone in your face, and accused you of lies, you would be in shock too and not want to answer questions. The look on her face was not guilt. It was shock and disgust coming from knowing that she had already spent months defending herself in court and was proven innocent, and that allegations were lies. TV can be a powerful thing, but we must remember that it can all be manipulated so easily –– bits and pieces of film footage cut and pasted together to create a story that is very far from the truth. These kinds of things should be saved for the movies that entertain us, not from our news stations that are supposed to be reporting on real life factual events.

okay so I know the disappointment of not being able to adopt ... I know what it is like for a child to bond to you and for them to be ripped from your life forever! ... I know the terrors of luckyhill... I spent a long time at luckyhill... I know almost all the children you speak about. I know the horrors they were and in some cases still are put through... I know what is it like to trust someone and find out later that the person you trusted completely is a sociopathic liar. I know what is it like to be denied love... I know what is it like to live in Ghana... to be at lucky hill to see those children everyday want what is here in America. I know the Ghanaian people and how desperate they are for a better life...I know who I can trust and who I can't. In Ghana you can't trust anyone.... I thought it was different in the United States... I thought people could be honest with each other. I am disappointed in the whole point fingers and blame that has happened in this story... I love those children and would do anything for them... Since when did it stop being about them? I know, and "God" knows the truth. I feel bad for all those who have so much anger toward anyone that they don’t have any room for love in their hearts. The courts have already decided, the Lord already knows the truth, so why are we still fighting this out? It's time to face your own dragons and leave everyone else’s out of it! PS Channel four should be ashamed of themselves for putting a family in danger by posting an address of ANYONE. Where are peoples rights to privacy? Would you want your address posted for the whole world to see? Some times we not only need to mind our own business, but if we do get into others business put your self in their shoes for just a moment. There are always two sides to every story and 99% of the time the whole story or the correct story is not told by the media!

I don't get it if you are so concerned sny01 about the poor children of luckyhill then why are you dragging more innocent children into this discussion?

Hey Bluegirl. Is that you Jessica? Of course you would defend Lois,you are on the payroll. Please provide proof Lois went to court and was found innocent. If she kept all her bank records she will have a copy of the check she was sent by the Rogalsky family (yea, the same one shown in the video). The only thing owed is money to all the families Lois Martino and Jessica Sorenson (member of the Luckyhill Board and financial secretary) (http://sugarhousemama.blogspot.com/) stole from them. Lois also owes much more for turning her back on all the kids that were sexually abused at her orphanage in Ghana. I'm sure God will take care of Lois. I'm sure there is a special spot in Hell for people like her and Kingsley. Remember, please provide the court documents showing she's innocent. If she has done nothing wrong then prove it! PS, Lois, have you told your own daughter her story? Have you told her that Kingley is her father and not her uncle? Interesting that someone so kind and loving would buy someone else's child and then let that child live a lie her whole life.
