Suspect jailed after deadly DUI accident near Saltair

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A deadly DUI accident near Saltair claimed the life of one man and left another in jail late Saturday night.

Two friends were returning from a rock concert at Saltair when their vehicle approached a tight curve, struck a pole and rolled near SR 201, said Lt. Steve Winward of the Utah Highway Patrol.

Winward said Joshua Wallace, 22, from West Jordan passed away after medical personnel arrived at the scene.

Jacob Carl Jensen, 28, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on charges of Automobile Homicide, a second-degree felony and DUI Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a third-degree felony.
