SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – Three years after Susan Powell went missing, 4,600 hundred images taken by her father-in-law Steven are released.

The pictures, video and journal entries document a very twisted relationship Steven Powell wanted to have with his daughter-in-law Susan.

Anne Bremner, who represents Susan’s parents Chuck and Judy Cox, says the pictures show just how obsessed Steven was with Susan.

"Clearly he has an over the top interest in her, I think and many think, that bordered on criminal and dangerous,” said Bremner.

The pictures taken from Powell's Washington home included pictures of him in various stages of undress.

Bremner said, "Steve Powell took a lot of pictures of himself."

Including hundreds of pictures of him masturbating and even using pictures of Susan as a prop for his twisted games.

Bremner explained, "There were pictures of her kissing a bird and he took the bird out and put part of his body where the bird had been."

Mixed in with the pictures of Susan were a lot of photos secretly taken of other women, even pictures and videos of two young girls that lived next door to Steven in Washington. Those pictures landed him in jail. While his perversions strayed to other women, Steven always had an eye on his daughter in law.

"There are pictures of her in the bathroom that they look like, as he described, are taken with a mirror shoved under the door,” said Bremner.

Susan was aware of her father-in-law’s bizarre attraction to her, it’s actually why she moved away from Washington to Utah.

"Obsessions can get dangerous,” said Bremner. “Chuck and Judy believe he knows a lot more than he's led on."

Bremner plans on questioning Powell about the pictures for the upcoming civil trial. That trial isn't about money, it’s about finding Susan.

Bremner said, "At some point we need answers, the public needs answers, the family needs answers, the police need answers, we need answers what happened to Susan."
