Salt Lake City braces for heavy traffic weekend

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) Downtown SLC will brace itself for one of its busiest weekends of the year. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the 182nd semi-annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Temple Square will be the destination to thousands of locals and visitors.
The Salt Lake City Police Department will facilitate traffic control during the two-day conference by providing traffic control. Parking enforcement officers will ensure access to residential neighborhood streets is available.
North Temple between Main Street and West Temple will be closed for 30 minutes at the end of each conference session.
This is a schedule of the conference's sessions:
Saturday morning session: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. MDT
Saturday afternoon session: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. MDT
General priesthood session: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. MDT
Sunday morning session: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. MDT
Sunday afternoon session: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. MDT
