SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A young family survived some scary moments after thieves break into their home.

The mother and her daughter were terrorized before learning they weren't the targets.

Savanna Cecala and her daughter were watching TV. when they heard a bang at the door. Shortly after, another door was kicked in.

"I watched the door and it's shaking and somebody was kicking it in," said Savannah Cecala.

It was then that she saw three armed masked men, one holding a tire iron, barge in and chase down her friend.

"I was absolutely terrified," said Cecala. "My first instinct was to get out of the house with my two year old because I didn't know what they were going to do."

Cecala took her daughter and ran out of the house, but Cati Cress and a friend hid in the bedroom.

Cress said the robbers took her friend's money, about $500, and left.

Kenneth Foote and Andrew Russell were arrested later and accused of doing the beating.

Police said they are searching for a third suspect, which worried Cecala and her family, prompting them to move out.
