Pride Festival seeks service award nominees

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Organizers of the Utah Pride Festival are accepting nominations for two annual community awards.

The Dr. Kristen Ries Community Service Award and the Pete Suazo Political Action Award recognize contributions of service and activism on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The honors are presented at the start of the annual Pride Festival week in June.

Nominations are being accepted through March 3.

Nominations can be made online at www.utahpridefestival.org or by sending an email to awards(at)utahpridefestival.org.
