SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Police broke up a fight at the "Occupy Salt Lake' camp in Pioneer Park early Thursday morning.

Police say the fight reportedly involved as many as 30 people.

Police say that officers spoke with a 43-year-old man who stated that he was "crowd control" for the protest.

Police say the man stated that a crowd was causing problems and when he told them to stop, they attacked him.

Police say the man claimed he and 21-year-old Jesse Jaramillo got into a fight and that Jaramillo hit him on the head with a board during the altercation.

Police say several other arrests were also made for public intoxication and alcohol violations during their investigation at the site.

Police say Carolina Chacon, and Crystal Willie, both 21-years old, were booked into jail for public intoxication and possession of alcohol in the park, while 29-year-old Marta Pacheco was booked into jail for public intoxication.

Police say Jaramillo was also booked into jail for aggravated assault.

I think the Occupy SLC has reverted to the old days tactics that were rampant at Pioneer Park. A drunken camp-out of do-nothings ... hanger-oners. ... Pretty pathetic group!!
