OGDEN, Utah (AP) - The 75th anniversary of Ogden Pioneer Days
has gone to the... horses.

On Wednesday along two Ogden thoroughfares volunteers set up 61
hand-painted porcelain horses to announce the city's upcoming
Pioneer Days.

The display, called the Trail to Pioneer Days, features the
collective work of nearly 100 artists.
Collectors booklets that lead self-guided tours of the display,
which will be officially unveiled on Friday, are available at Union
Station.

Original plans for the displayed called for 75 horses, in honor
of the 75th anniversary of Pioneer Days. But a fire destroyed 14
horses at the factory in Shelton, Neb.
