SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Penny pinching has paid off for a student at the University of Utah.
Jennifer Hillam competed against twelve other frugal college students to become the ultimate cheapster.
She was awarded the grand prize of $10,000.00, all in pennies
When asked whether or not she believed she was the ultimate cheapster Hillam said, "I didn't think I was. I'll keep doing it".
Hillam, who is from CottonWood Heights, is a senior majoring in excercise physiology who lives at home, takes public transportation and dries her hair using public restroom hand dryers.
