SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A Colorado mother is leaving Utah 9 weeks after her son disappeared with no strong leads about where he could be.
"It's excruciating. It's horrifying I mean just to not know if he's OK and to not know anything," said Cindy Putnam.
Her son, Robin Putnam stepped off a train in Salt Lake City and disappeared. He was bound for home in Grand Junction in Colorado, but never arrived.
His family has been searching everywhere and came up empty at every turn.
Tips have pointed to West Jordan, but most recently to a Sandy TRAX station at 9400 South near the South Towne Expo Center.
A man said he saw Robin step off the train there with a woman. He said the couple walked west to a group of shops. Robin's parents searched the area, but found nothing.
Now they're traveling back home to save their jobs. Cindy says she will become homeless too if she doesn't stop looking for her son.
She is pleading for others to help her find her son.
Take a picture of Robin if you see him and text it to his father Doug at 970-729-1653.
