SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - There's a new crime fighting tool that’s hitting news stands at convienence stores, and it's a way to get the public involved in keeping an eye out for those eluding arrest.
This newspaper is called Busted. It's full of all the mugshots the jails have taken in both Utah and Salt Lake Counties in the past week, all for only $1
There's a section with pictures of sexual predators who haven't registered as sex offenders. As well as a section showing Utah's Most Wanted.
Police are hoping the public will take a look and help keep their eyes open for these people.
It may be a hard sell for some, but for Cottonwood Heights Officer Beau Babka, he says this could be considered a great crime fighting tool.
“I think it’s great and wonderful. Anyway we can involve citizens, I'm all for that.”
Involving them perhaps, by showing them the faces of meth users: a section in the paper devoted to before and after shots.
How about an upclose look at “the wanted bad girls in Utah county?
Some believe this could definitely be a deterent for anyone thinking about committing a crime.

The publication is in eight different markets across the nation, and the distributors tell ABC 4, it sells very well. In fact, they are thinking about expanding the publication here in Utah to include Davis County.
