You parents or kids condoning this player's cheap shot need your heads examined. Yes, soccer is a contact sport. If this Mackenzie girl was playing rough, talk to the coach who can then talk to the officials. Under NO circumstances is it ok to do what the player in white did. That has no place in soccer or any sport for that matter. That player should be benched for a few games, if not the season. Totally shameful behavior.

The parents commenting on this story should be kneed on the face while laying on the ground. Do we really support "eye for an eye" justice?

Seriously ... This has turned into such a spectacle! What is not being shared is "the other side of the story". What about the actions of the other player? There are always two sides to every story. Sweet Innocent Mackenzie was not using her "Sweet Princess Words" during this game, but the words of a lot of High School Girls/Sailors, along with some comments about Peti's race. (These could be heard on the sidelines) Pair that with the very aggressive marking, this became too much, and when Mackenzie wouldn't stop her "bully-ing", which if you could see the entire tape of the game, you would see this evidence, Peti did what she did. Has anyone here ever been backed into a corner? Mackenzie wasn't hurt, there wasn't a concussion. Hopefully Mackenzie has learned something out of this spectacle as well as Peti. PLAY ON ...

Realist - if you watch she tripped, fell forward and put her arm out for balance and impact. Regardless of who shoved who first....deliberate injury to another is not acceptable. It borders on anger management issues, elitist win at all costs attitude, and the young lady in question needs therapy. Selfish people raise selfish, entitled kids. It's not the mother of the victim who should be speaking out - the parents of the assailant who should be. As mature, responsible parents they should pull her from the team themselves. BTW it is illegal in MMA to knee someone in the head when they are down.....so.

You two must be parents who think their child is an angel. The first dirty play occurred when her own daughter pushes the other player. The real question is why she didn't post they whole play rather the incident that occurred after. Before she toots her horn about sportsmanship she should take her own advice.

I agree. If this happened in NCAA sports, the player would be suspended or dismissed for the season. Apology smology consequences speak much louder. This actually is kicking someone when they are down. If my kid did that they could kiss their season and other things goodbye. Because when they turn 18 that stuff puts you in jail. No excuses.
