Mormon Tabernacle Choir hits milestone

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - President Monson called the Mormon Tabernacle Choir the LDS church's gift to the world.
Sunday was a milestone for the choir's weekly broadcast of music and the spoken word. It celebrated 80 years of continual radio broadcasts.
The program has been going live since July of 1929.
The current choir president Mac Christensen said, “It was built on a solid base. Stayed on a solid base and it’s been fantastic.”
