WEST HAVEN, Utah (ABC 4 News)-The body of a missing Hooper woman was found in a field near West Haven Sunday morning. The Weber County Sheriff’s Office says her death is suspicious.

Capt. Klint Anderson says Katherine Doutre disappeared October 30, 2009. A body matching her description was found just after midnight.

The area where her body was found is near 3100 west 4000 south in West Haven. But Anderson says that area was searched shortly after she was reported missing, and nothing was found, Anderson said.” We're confident she wasn't there several days after when we did those extensive searches and had to have gone there later on. It's unusual in many respects.”

Doutre’s husband told authorities that he last saw his wife five weeks ago and that she was distraught. Anderson said,”We know that she was depressed and that there were a lot of personal issues going on so we were fearful that she might have been out to harm herself.”

The medical examiner will try to determine the exact cause of her death.
