MAGNA, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A man is in jail after threatening a customer with a gun during a gas station altercation.
According to Lt. Don Hutson of Salt Lake County Sherriff, 41-year-old John Thomas Keith pulled out his concealed weapon and put it to the head of another customer after getting into an argument over a spot at a gas pump.
The incident happened late Saturday morning at the Tesoro on 8140 West 3500 South in Magna, according to Lt. Hutson. After threatening the victim with the gun, Keith and the victim both left; however, police were able to locate Keith at his home later that day.
Keith has been jailed on aggravated assault, and Hutson says that there is no evidence that he was in illegal possession of the weapon.
