SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The LDS Church announces a new temple in Payson, Utah on Monday.

The property for the future site of the temple is located at approximately 930 West and 1550 South.

That comes after the Church announced 5 new temples last October, including one in Brigham City.

The temple will be located on the southwest side of Payson, which is a mile from the 800 South exit of I-15.

The LDS church says the new temple will serve approximately 22 stakes, spanning an area from Spanish Fork to Nephi which includes about 78,000 Church members.

Previously, members had to drive either the Provo or Manti temples. This temple is the 152nd temple either already built or in the planning and construction phases.
