DRAPER, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Juan Diego High School student Adam Colosimo was remembered Thursday by his basketball teammates in a touching ceremony at his high school.

Adam died Tuesday when a blood clot stopped his heart. He was in intensive care for over a week after he was electrocuted and fell from a building.

Adam Colosimo was a starting varsity team captain for his high school basketball team -- as a sophomore. His teammates remember him as popular and kind.

"Adam honestly was one of the best kids I've ever met. There is nothing he wouldn't do for a friend or family," said his teammate, Will Hoffler.

His death leaves a painful void for the athletes on his basketball team. They shared stories about Adam to cope.

One of the teammates recalled a story shared by a Juan Diego basketball player named Chris, "When he was in the third grade, Adam asked one of his friends to sleepover and it wasn't Chris- he heard and was sad. He walked away and Adam chased him down saying, 'Chris too' and that just exactly defined the kind of kid Adam was."

One of Adam's friends used him as an example for his life.

"There is a rule I always had in my life. If we were all hanging out doing something and Adam said it was okay to do, we knew we could do it too. That's how I made many of my decisions and it probably saved me from a lot of trouble," said Hoffler.
The players say emotions at the meeting ranged from anger at losing Adam, to sadness and happiness when remembering his life.

His team said some of its final goodbyes; looking back, so they can more fully move forward without one of their own.

Adam was electrocuted while climbing a ladder, according to a school posting. He remained in intensive care where he eventually died when a blood clot stopped his heart.

Many of his family members work at his High School.
